Whirlwind Ceiling Installation of Tiny Bodies
By: Artist Do Ho Suh’s
Photographer Brice Bischoff uses Bronson Caves, famous as a filming location for multiple movies and TV shows, for the backdrop of this colorful project. Bischoff is the subject of his images, dancing and moving in front of the camera during long exposures to create these surreal smoky, rainbow effects.
“If a visitor to the caves were to accidentally stumble upon my performance” says Bischoff, “they would only see a mass of crumbled colored paper draped awkwardly over a man moving/dancing to a camera positioned on a tripod. The goal of these performances was to create sculptural, photographic objects that interacted with the history and architecture of the caves.”
